PM: Electricity projects inaugurated today had been stalled for years

    Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani inaugurated Today,  several electricity projects via video conference in Nineveh and Salah al-Din Governorates, aimed at addressing challenges in the transmission and distribution sectors.
     
    The Prime Minister said in a speech via a television circuit, during the inauguration of a number of electricity projects in the governorates of Nineveh and Salah al-Din, as part of projects to resolve bottlenecks in the field of transportation and distribution, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA):”The new projects include the Mosul Dam station with two transformers of (2x 250 MVA) capacity, the Yarmjah South station with a capacity of (KVA 132), adding transmission lines from Yarmjah to the Qayara station with a capacity of (3x 63 MVA), and expanding the Baiji substation with a capacity of (2x 250 MVA) while executing the Baiji-South Tikrit transmission lines.”
     
    In his speech during the inauguration, the Prime Minister praised,” the efforts of workers across the Ministry of Electricity sectors, acknowledging their achievements under exceptional circumstances,he highlighted that these projects had been delayed for years due to destruction by ISIS, but were completed by skilled national teams using the latest global technologies, with new technology introduced into the national grid, especially at the Mosul station.”
     
    The Prime Minister emphasized,” that these projects were based on a scientific diagnosis, which revealed that transmission and distribution issues are as significant as the power generation shortfall,any advancements in the transmission sector and resolving network issues will have a positive impact akin to adding new power generation capacity.”
     
    The Prime Minister further reiterated,” the government's commitment to this development, which facilitates flexibility in power transmission, reduces the load on the grid, and stabilizes electricity supply to citizens, and supporting development in other sectors. Additionally, the Prime Minister stressed the government's focus on completing all stalled projects and ensuring their full completion.”
