Al-Shorta team will play an important match the day after tomorrow, Monday, against its Saudi counterpart, Al-Nasr, for the Asian Champions League for the elite, in a match that will be held at the city’s international stadium, with all ambition to achieve a positive result that will please the Iraqi fans.
The media coordinator of Al-Shorta Club, Athir Al-Shuwaili, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The team is ready to face the important Saudi Al-Nasr, especially after returning from the Egypt camp and playing some friendly matches there and conducting morning and evening training sessions.".
He added that "the Egypt camp was fruitful from a technical and physical standpoint and to a large extent, as the technical staff stood on all the negative matters and avoided them and supported the positive matters, indicating that the team has several absences, including players Abdul Majeed Abu Bakr, as well as Ahmed Farhan, and the new arrival, the Jordanian national team player, Mohammed Sharaara, due to their lack of readiness.".
Al-Shuwaili stressed that "the technical staff and all the players are all determined to achieve a positive result and please the Iraqi fans in general and Al-Shorta fans in particular."
