Al-Mandalawi: We must support Lebanon to overcome the effects of the crime

    Acting Speaker of parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi stressed on Wednesday, that the humanitarian, moral requires us to support Lebanon to overcome the effects of this crime.
     
    Al-Mandalawi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "We express Iraq's solidarity with the government and people of brotherly Lebanon, and its support for it after it was subjected to a criminal Zionist attack through the bombing of communication means (pagers), which led to the rise of a number of martyrs and the fall of hundreds of wounded," expressing his "strong condemnation of this dangerous and treacherous act."
     
     The statement stressed that "Iraq has a humanitarian, moral and legal responsibility that requires it to support and assist its Lebanese brothers, and that the concerned ministries are called upon to coordinate their efforts and join forces in order to provide sufficient support to Lebanon to overcome the effects of this crime," denouncing "the violations committed by the occupation forces against civilians in Palestine and Lebanon."
     
     
    It reiterated "Iraq's position on the necessity of stopping the aggression, holding the leaders of the entity accountable, and respecting international laws, especially humanitarian laws."
