The Ministry of Transport announced today, Sunday, that the completion rate of the five- docks project, one of the Grand Faw Port projects, has reached 98%, indicating that October will be the date for receiving the project from the implementing company.
The Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In line with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, the five- docks project, one of the Grand Faw Port projects, is witnessing remarkable progress on the ground and faster than its timetables."
He added that "the Korean company Daewoo has reached 98% completion rates in the project," noting that "the project will be received from the Korean company in October."
It is noteworthy that the project to establish a container terminal for the Grand Faw Port, which is one of the five projects, includes the construction of five giant docks for unloading ships with a length of (1750) meters, and the construction of a container yard with a length of (2000) meters.
