There have been no attempts at infiltration along the Syrian border, according to a statement released by the Border Forces Command on Thursday.
"With an advanced border fortification system and high combat preparedness from the heroes of the Border Forces Command, the Iraqi-Syrian border is witnessing great security stability free of any infiltration attempts or threats to it," according to a statement from the Border Forces Command that the Iraqi News Agency (INA) obtained.
The statement went on, "Iraqi army units are advancing in support of the border forces in the second line of resistance."
The statement stressed "the readiness of the security forces and the stability of the security situation on the Iraqi-Syrian border strip."
