Ziad Ali Fadhel, the minister of electricity, stated on Thursday that the Dibis power plant, which will add 320 megawatts, was put into operation quickly after it was shut down 20 years ago.
"After the opening of the Iraqi-Turkish link line in Nineveh under the auspices of Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, and today we will move to Kirkuk to announce in the presence and support of the Prime Minister the operation of the Dibis power station in Kirkuk," stated Fadhel in his video conference speech for the opening of the Dibis power station in Kirkuk, as reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The station was implemented in record time after a 20-year hiatus, and the implementation of this important project—two units, 160 MW each—was proceeded with under the Prime Minister's guidance," he continued.
