The Ministry of Oil announced on Sunday, that the Iraqi Drilling Company completed drilling and reclaiming 105 oil wells during the first half of the current year 2024, while confirming the imminent implementation of contracts for dozens of new wells, Ministry spokesman, Asim Jihad, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "The technical and engineering teams in the above-mentioned company succeeded in drilling 33 oil wells and reclaiming 72 other wells, for the benefit of national extraction companies and international companies operating in Iraq."
He pointed out, "These achievements reflect the high efficiency and accumulated experience of the technical and engineering personnel of the Iraqi Drilling Company."
Jihad stressed that “the Iraqi Drilling Company is committed to implementing its projects according to the specified timetables, which enhances its vital role in supporting the national economy,” indicating that “the company continues to enhance its technical and human capabilities to be able to implement projects in cooperation with national and international companies operating in Iraq.”
He stated, "The company is implementing a number of drilling contracts in the oil fields in the north, center, and south, using the vertical and horizontal drilling method, for the benefit of the contracting companies and according to the requirements of the contract and the nature of the targeted wells," stressing the next few period will witness the implementation of dozens of oil wells."
