Youth and Sports Minister reveals proactive measures in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers

    Youth and Sports Minister Ahmed Al-Mubarqa revealed, today Friday, proactive measures in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers while confirming the imminent establishment of a large scout camp in Baghdad.

    Al-Mubarqa’ said to the program (betawqet al-qashla) on the Iraqi News Channel, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Ministry is preparing for the World Cup qualifiers with several logistical measures to prepare Jidhe Alnakhla stadium for the qualifiers, including agreeing with the Scientific Care Department to prepare programs and films appropriate for this occasion and preparing the public to receive the teams and their fans in a manner befitting the Iraqi people and their generosity”, calling for “not to submit to what published on social media sites by some who use foreign terms that do not represent the Iraqi people or their culture.”

    He pointed out that “it must rise in the stands of Jidhe Alnakhla stadium a message to the whole world that Iraq is worthy of hospitality”, noting that “the Ministry has set out to complete some of the logistical shortcomings in preparation for the qualifiers, especially from the security aspect and achieve a success similar to what was achieved in the Gulf 25, as well as other aspects related to hotels to all delegations.”

    Regarding the advancement of youth, Al-Mubarqa’ said that “a large scout camp will be established near Al-Tajiyat Stadium in Baghdad for youth, aiming to create an ideal environment for self-reliant youth and to form a young man capable of working under pressure in various circumstances”, noting that “the Ministry has obtained approval to include Establishing this camp in Baghdad”.

    Al-Mubarqa added, "The Ministry completed a scout camp a few days ago in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, which included young people from various governorates, and it is part of the Ministry's program for youth care."
