The CAS International Court praised the Iraqi Judicial Council for establishing the Center for Sports Settlement and Arbitration.
The Judicial Council said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Wednesday, that “The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Sports Settlement and Arbitration, Judge Muhammad Ali Mahmoud Nadeem, met on Tuesday, 6/18/2024, with the Director General of the CAS International Court, Matthew Reeb, in The headquarters of the International Sports Court is in Lausanne, Switzerland.
He added, "The meeting was attended by the head of the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center, Zaid Fares Al Salman, and the Secretary-General of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Haitham Abdul Hamid, at the invitation of the International Sports Court (CAS), where Matthew Reeb praised the role of the Supreme Judicial Council in establishing the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center based on the internal regulations of the Olympic Committee and in line with Iraqi laws.”
While Judge Nadim confirmed, “The coming period will witness cooperation between the two parties through the organization of development training courses that will be organized by the Center for Sports Settlement and Arbitration.”
