PM agrees to establish and support the Olympic Champion Project

Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani agreed today, Sunday, to establish and support the Olympic Champion Project “Olympic Achievement”, which represents an Olympic achievement “Olympic Medal” in the 2032 Olympics in Australia.

The advisor to the Prime Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs, Khaled Abdel Wahid Gibyan, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that “The Prime Minister pays great attention to all sporting achievements in Iraq in order to achieve the greatest goal, which is to reap sporting achievements and raise the flag of Iraq in all Arab and international forums.”
He added, "Prime Minister’s approval came based on a proposal submitted by the Prime Minister's advisors for youth and sports affairs and the Iraqi National Olympic Committee. The Ministry of Youth and Sports will participate in this major project and with the participation of sports experts from inside and outside Iraq."
