German press reports revealed today, Friday, that Bayern Munich is close to signing Joao Balenha, the Tottenham midfielder, during the current summer transfer period.

The Bavarian club was close to signing the Portuguese midfielder during the last summer transfer period from the English team Fulham, but the deal failed in the final hours of the transfer.
