Al-Awadi highlights the major topics for PM's discussions in Riyadh, most notably The Development Road

    Iraqi Government Spokesperson Bassim Al-Awadi announced on Sunday the key topics that Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani will discuss at the World Economic Forum in Riyadh.


    Al-Awadi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani is participating today in the first meeting of the World Economic Forum in the capital Riyadh," noting that "his participation will be highlighted by meetings with a group of leaders, including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Amir of Kuwait, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and a group of global companies."


    He elaborated that Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani will also discuss the 'Development Road' project since it represents well the core theme of the Forum ('International Cooperation, Growth, and Energy for Development'). This initiative is envisaged as a pivotal collaboration between the East and West, marking a significant advancement in regional development. It is considered the leading energy transportation route in the foreseeable future.


    He also affirmed that the Prime Minister will address current regional developments, the Gaza War, and the enhancement of Iraqi-Arab and international relations.
     
    Earlier, Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani arrived in Riyadh to participate in the Forum.
     
    The media office of the Prime Minister, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani arrived Sunday morning in the Saudi capital Riyadh to participate in the World Economic Forum, upon the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman."
     
    "Al-Sudani will conduct on the sidelines of the forum, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the slogan 'International Cooperation, Growth, and Energy for Development,' a series of meetings with several world leaders, as well as with heads and representatives of major international companies specializing in energy and digital technology," the statement added.
     
    "The Forum aims to support global dialogue and find solutions to common global challenges, and will witness the presence of several heads of state and extensive participation from international experts and thinkers from governmental, private, international organizations, and academic institutions from 92 countries," the statement continued.
