PM calls on journalistic cadres to perform their duties alongside the constitutional oversight authorities

Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani called today, Sunday, on the journalistic community to perform its duties alongside the constitutional oversight authorities.
 
 
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani received this afternoon the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Muayyad Aziz al-Lami."
 
  "Al-Sudani listened to a presentation on the conditions of press and media freedoms in Iraq," stressing the government's approach to protecting freedom of expression in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and applicable laws.”
  Prime Minister called on the press community according to the statement to “perform their duties alongside the constitutional oversight authorities, explain the facts to citizens, and work according to professionalism and media objectivity, towards strengthening the efforts of the government and its institutions in providing services, achieving comprehensive development, reform, combating corruption, and confronting economic challenges.”
