Iraq and Syria stress the need to strengthen and develop bilateral relations

    President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid and his Syrian counterpart  Bashar al-Assad stressed, on Wednesday, the need to strengthen and develop bilateral relations.

    During the phone call, “the two presidents exchanged congratulations and greetings, expressing  best wishes for further progress and prosperity for the two brotherly peoples, stressing the need to strengthen and develop bilateral relations to serve the interests of the two countries in various fields "the statement added.

    The president of the Republic pointed to “The importance of Syria's stability and security in order to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people to live in peace and harmony".

    The two presidents stressed "the need to stop the ongoing aggression on Gaza, the relief of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the importance of the international community to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities".
