PM: Iraq's efforts to establish balanced international relations

    INA - BAGHDAD

    PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani met on Monday, the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Iraq, Andrea Nasi.

    The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the overall relations with the European Union, exploring ways to enhance partnership across various fields, according to a statement by the PM Media Office received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    Al-Sudani highlighted "Iraq's endeavor to establish balanced international relations based on mutual interests, contributing to sustainable development and supporting stability in the region. He welcomed the participation of Austrian companies in all sectors of reconstruction and infrastructure, which are witnessing steady development."

    The discussion also covered the two countries' intention to sign an air services agreement, including the initiation of direct flights between Iraq and Austria, and completing the procedures for supplying Iraq with irrigation sprinklers from the Austrian company Bauer, "as a part of the government's efforts towards adopting modern irrigation technologies in agriculture."
