The Central Criminal Court issued, on Thursday, 10-year prison sentence against a dealer in narcotic substances in Baghdad.
The Supreme Judicial Council – SJC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Central Criminal Court issued today, 10-year prison sentence against a dealer in narcotic substances in Baghdad, who was arrested with security information after he carried out drug trafficking, where a set of bags containing drugs weighing 40 g, an electronic balance, 6 glass pipe , 2 lighters, weapons and ammunition were found in his house".
"The sentences were issued based on the provisions of Article 28/ I of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances law No. 50 of 2017" the statement added.
