Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani directed the Federal Commission of Integrity-FCOI today to expedite investigations into documented violations concerning the awarding and execution of contracts related to Iraqi Airways operations and associated services.
The Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA that “Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized the necessity of holding negligent parties accountable and pursuing legal action against entities and individuals responsible for violations and misconduct in their duties, that have harmed public funds and caused financial waste. He further highlighted the importance of recovering outstanding amounts and debts owed by companies, agents, and offices contracted to carry out the airline’s operations. This directive aligns with the government’s commitment to combating corruption.”
Prime Minister Al-Sudani also directed the relevant authorities to review the airport contracts to guarantee the highest levels of service for travelers and enhance their overall quality.
