President Rashid emphasizes that services for Umrah performers and pilgrims are essential

    Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the President of the Republic, emphasized on Wednesday the importance of offering services to pilgrims and Umrah performers.  

    "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the head of the Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah Sheikh Sami Al-Masoudi," according to a statement from the Media Department of the Presidency of the Republic that the Iraqi News Agency (INA) obtained.

    "They discussed the situation of Iraqi pilgrims to Saudi Arabia during the month of Ramadan and taking into account the specificity of this blessed month," the statement continued. 
     
     Praising the Commission's work, the President of the Republic emphasized "the importance of continuing to work to provide services to Umrah performers."
     
      He emphasized the need of getting ready and hording supplies for the upcoming Hajj season, offering pilgrims housing and other services, and facilitating procedures that allow them to perform their rituals with ease and in proportion to their status as Iraqi pilgrims.

    In his own words, Sheikh Sami Al-Masoudi examined "the Commission's work progress, the services drawn up to continue improving the services provided to them, and the services provided to Iraqi pilgrims."
     
    "The President of the Republic was briefed by the head of the commission on the preparations made for the upcoming Hajj season and the efforts made to serve the Iraqi pilgrims," he continued.
