Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani's speech during the reception of our Olympic football team highlighted that:

This achievement was made possible by your efforts, proving your capability and responsibility, marking a significant victory for Iraq and affirming our successes in all fields.

We have triumph over terrorism, and today we excel in construction, services, foreign relations, and stability—now, we celebrate our success in sports.

Like other Iraqi teams before you, you have united all Iraqis, who stood together in support of the national team.

We achieved victory and qualified for the Paris Olympics for the sixth time, a significant achievement confirming the strong comeback of Iraqi football.

I appreciate the significant role of the president and members of the Iraq Football Association for their successful management of the football scene during the past period.

A player represents not just themselves but the entire nation of Iraq on the field.

Our support for the sports sector is not a favor but a recognition of sports as a political, social, and economic interest, integral to the state's identity and existence.

We are ready to extend our support to the furthest extent, fulfilling the government's duty towards all sports.

We aim to be more than just participants in Paris; we strive for a strong sporting presence that competes for medals.

We have players in various sports who represent promising projects to emerge as top competitors regionally and in Asia, with the potential and determination to excel.

Iraq is the only Arab country from Asia represented in football at the Olympics, a responsibility you are well-prepared to shoulder.
