Iraq sends new aid shipment to the Palestinian people

    The Air Force aircraft delivered a fresh shipment of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza, the Ministry of Defense said Wednesday.
     
    "Under the guidance of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and with continuous follow-up by the minister of Defense, the chief of staff of the army, and under the supervision of the committee to follow up the delivery and receipt of aid for the Palestinian people, C-130 Air Force aircraft, loaded with a cargo of food and medical aid and a load of (21) tons of foodstuffs, took off this morning from the martyr Mohammed Alaa air base to land at El Arish airport in Egypt," according to a ministry statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    The statement went on to say that "there are other shipments of food and medicines," and that "it will be delivered under the supervision of the Iraqi Red Crescent to the Egyptian Red Crescent in Al-Arish and then introduced to the Palestinian people."
     
    According to the statement, "the airlift will continue to deliver aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza as directed by the prime minister."
