Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, the acting speaker of the Parliament, recalled Wednesday, the fourth anniversary of the attacks by forces of global arrogance on martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and the guest of Iraq, General Qassem Soleimani, and their companions near Baghdad International Airport.

In a statement released by his media office and obtained by the Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandalawi declared, "The airport crime will remain a painful turning point that history will remember throughout the ages by memorializing the martyrs and cursing the treacherous hand that assassinated them."

He continued, saying that "remembering this day is only a small part of paying homage to the martyrs and those with them, because through their sacrifices, the peoples of the world live in safety today following the defeat of the terrorist Daesh, and it was through their hands that Iraq attained stability and freedom, and the Free learned how to make their victory self-made."

Declaring that "the treacherous assassination incident of the two martyrs and those with them will remain stuck in the minds of Iraqis, as it is an attack on Iraqi territory and sovereignty, which is condemned by all international norms and laws," he made this point.

"We pray to Allah Almighty to grant all the martyrs of Iraq, the martyrs Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, General Soleimani and those with them, mercy and join them to martyrs and Ahl al-Bayt," Al-Mandalawi continued, consoling himself and all Iraqis and free peoples on the anniversary of their martyrdom.
