Interior Ministry announces its 2024 Drug Control Plan

The Ministry of Interior announced its special plan for the year 2024 to combat drugs, indicating that the plan has three axes.
 
“The Ministry of Interior has developed several plans related to drugs that will be implemented during 2024, starting with combating their trade and prosecuting all of their promoters, in addition to supporting the General Directorate of Drug Control, preparing it with weapons, and expanding its work and procedures, in addition to Increasing the number of clinics,” Ministry spokesman Miqdad Merry told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
"In 2023, only about 14 thousand people were arrested in the Directorate General of Narcotics Control, while the remaining numbers in all the Ministry of the Interior exceeded the 19.000 of the Directorate General of Narcotics Control," Merry added.
