DGIS arrests a dangerous terrorist network in Sulaymaniyah

The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DGIS) at the Defense Ministry announced ,on Wednesday, the arrest of four dangerous terrorists in Sulaymaniyah province.

DGIS stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) "Detachments of the Human Resources Directorate of DGIS, in coordination with the Sulaymaniyah counter-terrorism service, carried out a qualitative operation, which resulted the arrest of a network of (4) terrorists in Sulaymaniyah governorate, who participated in many terrorist operations, most notably the attack on Camp Speicher, in addition to detonating and transporting booby-trapped vehicles and suicide bombers in Baghdad previously”.

The statement added that "arrested warrants have been issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 terrorism, noting that "legal procedures have been taken against them and referred them to the judiciary to get their fair punishment."
