MOFA: The government is keen to know the fate of Kuwaiti citizen attacked in Anbar

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, confirmed on Monday, the government’s keenness to know the fate of the Kuwaiti citizen who was attacked in Anbar.

Hussein received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, according to MOFA statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included, "During the call, the circumstances of a Kuwaiti citizen being attacked in Anbar Governorate were discussed, as Hussein stressed the Iraqi government's keenness to know the fate of the Kuwaiti citizen," noting that, "the Iraqi security authorities are following up the matter with interest to uncover the circumstances of the case."

In turn, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister expressed "his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the Iraqi authorities to find out the fate of the Kuwaiti citizen and ensure his safety."
