The governor of Diyala, Muthanna Al-Tamimi, confirmed on Friday, that he will not allow any breach targeting citizens in the province.
Al-Tamimi said in a telegram offering condolence for the martyrdom of a number of citizens due to a criminal terrorist attack in the village of Omraniya, Al-Muqdadiya district, according to a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "with great sorrow, we received the news that a number of citizens martyred and others injured by a criminal terrorist attack in the village of Omraniya in Al-Muqdadiya district," indicating that "safe Al-Muqdadiya district is bleeding and i pray for the families of the martyrs to be inspired with patience and solace, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery".
The governor promised to pursue the murderers and have them get their just punishment, and not to allow any violation targeting citizens and disturbing the security and stability in Al-Muqdadiya district".
