Ministry spokesman Asim Jihad told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Ministry of oil respects all claims and respects all specialties and emphasizes the importance of geological specialization as an important active element in the Iraqi oil industry," pointing out that "the ministry has recruited thousands of graduates from this specialty during the past years.
He added that" the ministry is drawing up its plans to absorb the competencies according to the need of oil companies, "noting that "the issue of providing job grades is not related to the Ministry of oil, but to the government program and its plan in determining the plan of each ministry of job grades every year.
Jihad pointed out that "the authority of the ministry and the government must be separated, and without the existence of allocations or job grades, the ministry cannot meet the appointment requests," stressing that the Ministry of oil "obliged foreign companies within the contracts of licensing rounds to rely on the national effort of Labor by more than 85%."
He explained that " foreign workers in investment companies are elements of temporary work that may take a certain period until the end of work and are not permanent opportunities," stressing that "the ministry is always working to provide opportunities for graduates, including geological specialties and others".
