Speaker of Parliament , Muhammad al-Halbousi, confirmed on Tuesday, that the general amnesty law is included in the political agreement form and the government program.
Al-Halbousi said, according to a statement from his media office received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The general amnesty law is one of our basic demands for justice for the innocent and those who are convict, and we differentiate between the innocent and the convict."
The statement added: "If the amnesty law becomes an electoral slogan, it must be enacted away from bidding and electoral slogans at the right time," noting that "the general amnesty law will be enacted, and it is fixed in the political agreement form and the government program."
