Al-Sudani Leads Service and Engineering Effort Team Meeting

    Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA that “Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, chaired today, the meeting of the Service and Engineering Effort Team, in the presence of the head of the Board of Advisors in the Prime Minister’s Office.”
     
    The statement added that “The meeting included a discussion on the 2023 work plan for Baghdad Governorate, focusing on projects related to the rehabilitation of residential areas, as well as water, sewage, and road initiatives within various municipalities. These projects aim to improve living conditions and infrastructure in areas such as Al-Sadr I, Al-Sadr II, Al-Shu’la, Al-Shaab, Al-Rashid, Al-Dawra, Al-Ghadeer, Al-Kadhimiya, New Baghdad, Karrada, and involve the municipal laboratories department and the municipal department in Bub Al-Sham.”
     
    It said that “The Prime Minister conducted a comprehensive review of the service and engineering effort team projects in Baghdad Governorate, including an assessment of the team's funding status from the Ministry of Construction and Housing and public municipalities. He also issued necessary directives regarding these projects.”
     
    The Prime Minister emphasized according to the statement, that “the current plan is focused on improving slum areas with proper urban planning and the provision of various essential services, especially considering their high population density and lack of adequate services.”
     
     It also stated that “Prime Minister Al-Sudani instructed to have the action plan for Baghdad Governorate reviewed by the consultancy of the Engineers Syndicate before commencing work on it. He also emphasized that the Service and Engineering Effort Team should step up their efforts in serving the citizens and assured that any hindrances to their progress would be addressed.”
