Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, discussed today, Wednesday, with a delegation from Total Energy the prospects for joint cooperation in the oil and energy sector.
A statement from the Ministry of Oil, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, received a delegation from Total Energy, which included both Laurent Vivier, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, and Lauran Vivier, Director of the Middle East for the exploration sector, and Donia Chalabi, Director of Total Energy, Iraq Branch.”
The statement added, "During the meeting, the prospects for relations and joint cooperation in the oil and energy sector were discussed, and Total Energy's plans and programs in implementing contracts recently concluded with national oil companies, for gas investment and field development, in addition to transporting and treating seawater, and a solar energy investment project to generate electricity."
