Anti-Terrorism Service stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "according to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, and the supervision of the head of the Anti-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Abd al-Wahhab al-Saadi, our heroes carried out a series of operations in separate regions of the country."
According to the statement, "Our heroes, within the operations of keeping coordination with the Sulaymaniyah Counter-Terrorism Directorate, began the duty to arrest one of the wanted persons in Sulaymaniyah Governorate," noting that "based on accurate intelligence information, the heroes of our apparatus arrested a terrorist in Nineveh Governorate, Al-Jada'a camp, to conclude our operations are in the process of arresting two terrorists in the capital, Baghdad."
The statement confirmed, "The heroes of the Anti-Terrorism Service are a qualitative force specialized in combating terrorism that continues day and night to combat terrorism and achieve security in our beloved country."
