ICTS: 8 terrorists were arrested in operations that included several areas

    Iraqi Counter terrorism Service( ICTS) announced on Thursday,  the arrest of 8 terrorists in security operations that included several areas.

    ICTS said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, and under the direct supervision of the head of the Counter-Terrorism Agency, Lieutenant General Abdel-Wahhab Al-Saadi, and within the series of qualitative operations of the heroes of the Anti-Terrorism Agency in various regions of our beloved country, A force of our heroes carried out the duty of arresting one of the wanted persons in Kirkuk, and as part of maintaining coordination with the Kurdistan Region, the Sulaymaniyah Anti-Terrorism Regiment was able to arrest one of the wanted persons."

    The statement added, "Our forces, in cooperation with the Erbil Anti-Terrorism Directorate, were able to arrest one of the wanted persons, and another was arrested in the Shirqat district of Salah al-Din Governorate."

    It continued, "As for the central regions, and in coordination with the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, a terrorist was arrested in the capital, Baghdad, Al-Jamaa district, and in a lightning operation in the Yusufiya district, south of Baghdad, a worker in the military detachments of the so-called Fallujah state was arrested, and then transferred to the so-called Wilayat of Fallujah."     The statement indicated, "Another terrorist was also arrested in Habbaniyah district in Anbar governorate, while our heroes carried out a duty in Diyala governorate, Khalis district (Albu Bali), which resulted in the arrest of a wanted outlaw and one of the participants in the events in the (Al-Jiyalia) region."

    The statement concluded by emphasizing that, "The operations of the heroes of the counter-terrorism apparatus are continuing, in various sectors of operations, with qualitative efforts to reach a secure and stable Iraq."
