A ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that "in confirmation of the importance of upgrading the services provided to citizens, preserving and developing oil wealth, and maintaining the national economy, very important and specially manufactured equipment for the northern refinery in Baiji was recovered after it was lost during the control of Daesh terrorist gangs".

It added that "this restoration came based on the cooperation of a patriot Iraqi citizen, legal and unofficial parties and figures, as well as the efforts of official authorities, and was returned to the refinery, after the materials were distributed among the yards of old equipment and industrial materials in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and other places, and some of these equipment is difficult to diagnose except by the refineries of the north, some of which have been inferred by serial numbers".

It pointed out that "the equipment was transported and delivered through the cooperation and care of all parties, without paying any amounts to any party, as well as through close cooperation from official authorities in the region, in addition to initiatives from popular parties that contributed to this restoration, in support of the government's path and to present the importance of reform.”

It added that "the restoration of this equipment, in this quantity, comes to speed up the operation of the northern refinery, as the delay of this operation causes Iraq great losses daily, and importing alternatives to this equipment will take years of demand and manufacturing".

The statement stressed on this level, "the ministry's vision is within the government program, in achieving the national interest and providing services first, and raising Iraq's capabilities in the field of oil derivatives production, which is a national priority, ahead of all other circumstances and circumstances," noting that "the turnout of citizens and legal figures to provide facilities and empowerment, and the cooperation of the Kurdistan Regional Government in achieving this important restoration, is a preponderance of the overarching national interest, which is added to the steps to reform the national economy, and a model of cooperation for all to achieve this lofty goal.
