Al-Sudani on the remembrance day of Sheikh Al-waeli: his biography is an example to follow

Prime minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani recalled on Friday the remembrance day of Sheikh Ahmed Al-waeli, while stressing that his biography was an example to follow.

Al-Sudani said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "today we are passing the twentieth anniversary of the death of the dean of al-Husseini minbar, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-waeli (may Allah have mercy on him)".

He added:"Sheikh Al-waeli's biography was an example to follow in confronting dictatorship and injustice, he worked to spread moral, humanitarian, cultural and cognitive ideas.

He pointed out that "the contents of national and Islamic unity were the salient feature of all his speeches, which drew him a distinctive approach, in which he won the respect and appreciation of all Muslims".

He continued:" as we recall today the anniversary of his passing, we evoke the great values and the tolerant message of Islamic thought, of which Sheikh al-waeli was one of the main pillars, "concluding by saying:" May Allah bless Sheikh Al-waeli with the breadth of his mercy... Our condolences to his family and all his loved ones".
