Najaf Governor Al-Ashraf Majed Al-Waeli and Interior Minister Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari discussed today, Thursday, a number of issues and files of concern to the security issue in the province.
The media office of Holy Najaf governor stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the governor of Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf, Majid Al-Waeli, received in his office in the governorate HQ, the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, accompanied by the undersecretaries of the ministry for intelligence, police, and federal security, in addition to the commanders of the border forces, the federal police, the directors of civil affairs, passports, residencies, General Directorate of Traffic, and police, in the presence of the first deputy governor, the police commander of the province, and the commander of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) squad.”
The statement added, "This visit comes in order to oversee the security reality of the province, to identify the most important needs of security institutions, to overcome any obstacles burden the works of the security forces, and to strengthen security capabilities."
Al-Waeli welcomed the visit and considered it "a message of interest in the province of Najaf, while he talked about the requirements of the security services and the size of the tasks and duties assigned to them, reviewing the most important projects that have been allocated to the security sector, to develop the infrastructure of the security establishment.
