Omar Al-Waeli, head of the Border Ports Authority, discussed today, Tuesday, with Kuwaiti Abdali port officials the mechanisms for the influx of Gulf visitors to Iraq.
According to a video clip seen by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "the head of the Border Ports Authority Omar Al-Waeli and his deputy met the officials of the Kuwaiti Abdali port at the border between the two ports to discuss the mechanisms of the influx of visitors to the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in order to cooperate in facilitating procedures and provisions in accordance to the regulations ".
Al-Waeli said that "the Safwan border crossing is the only access for the Gulf countries to cross into Iraq and participate in the fortieth (Arbaeen) visit," stressing the importance of "there will be high-level cooperation between the two sides."
