The Counter-Terrorism Service announced today, Friday, the arrest of two terrorists in the provinces of Sulaymaniyah and Salahuddin.
CTS stated in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - that "based on accurate information and in cooperation with the Operations Directorate of the Kurdistan Region's Asayish Service, the Counter-Terrorism Service was able to arrest a terrorist in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, who was working in a military position within the so-called Fallujah Province."
The statement added, "A force from the service, in coordination with the Intelligence and Federal Affairs Agency, was also able to arrest a terrorist in Salahuddin Governorate, who was working in a military position within the so-called Kirkuk Province."
it also continued, "In our operations to carry out reconnaissance and surveillance duties, we were able to detonate and destroy (4) hideouts, a tunnel, and a cave, in separate operations on the border between the provinces of Kirkuk and Salahuddin, the Hamrin Mountains, and Hatra Island."
