Barcelona Requests Release of 3 Players from Spain Friendly

Barcelona officials are racing against time to find a solution to the simmering crisis facing the Catalan club's coach, Hansi Flick.

Sport newspaper revealed that "Barcelona's management is currently negotiating with the Spanish Football Federation and Santiago Denia, coach of the Spanish youth team, to allow the release of three players."
The newspaper explained that "the Spanish youth team will play two friendly matches against the Czech Republic and Germany, on March 21 and 25, respectively."

The newspaper indicated that "Barcelona is requesting permission to release its three players, Gerard Martin, Pablo Torre, and Fermin Lopez, after the match against the Czech Republic, and to exempt them from participating in the Germany friendly.".

The newspaper noted that "Flick is facing a crisis due to the postponed match of Round 27 between Barcelona and Osasuna being rescheduled for March 27, less than 48 hours after the end of this month's international break."

The newspaper stated that "Barcelona has 13 international players in its ranks, and its difficulties have recently increased with the injuries of Marc Casado and Iñigo Martinez. Some of its players will also be forced to travel long distances after participating in the South American World Cup qualifiers."
