Ministry of Transport - MOT announced on Monday, an increase in the number of flights during Eid Al-Adha.
The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi, directed an increase in the number of flights to destinations (Turkey, Dubai, Tehran, Cairo, Beirut, and Amman, in addition to domestic flights) in order to accommodate the momentum that is taking place in the country and the number of passengers during the days of Eid al-Adha, MOT included in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
"The new Dreamliner, which recently joined the Iraqi Airways fleet, will provide a service in transporting pilgrims as a first stage during their return from the Holy Land, in addition to the Kuala Lumpur line, China, after completing the necessary procedures," according to the statement.
The Ministry pointed out, "The General Company of Iraqi Airways is awaiting the arrival of a second plane of the same model, wide-body, as an alternative to any sector that needs a wide-body plane due to the high demand. It will also be effective in the Arbaeen visit season, to absorb the increasing numbers of visitors."
