Rasool explains the details of the security plan for Eid al-Adha

    Spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool, clarified Thursday the details of the security plan for Eid al-Adha, while indicating high coordination with Kurdistan security to prevent any breach.

     Rasool told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Iraqi military leadership has developed a plan to secure the days of Eid in Baghdad and other provinces, while securing tourist facilities that are intended for citizens," noting that "there is high coordination between all operational leaders in the provinces to secure the movement of citizens and their movement in Eid".

     He added that "the procedures will be smooth and well secured," noting that "there is great confidence in the success of our heroic armed forces in securing the blessed Eid al-Adha holiday."

    Rasool stressed, "there is high coordination with the Kurdistan region, the Peshmerga forces and the intelligence services regarding the Eid plan," noting that "all efforts are concerted to secure the border areas , and there is joint work and the exchange of intelligence information, and we have succeeded greatly in arresting and killing the leaders of Daesh terrorist gangs."

     Rasool continued, "The plan that was developed is a precise plan that included all joints and prevented loopholes from forming," explaining that "the army forces, the Popular Mobilization Forces and other security services secure the regions and governorates of the south and center towards the northern governorates."

     He stated, "The work is being carried out according to a precise plan to ensure the smooth movement of citizens and tourists from the central and southern regions towards the Kurdistan region."
