PM: Iraq has received offers to finance and implement the Development Road

     Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Thursday, that Iraq had received offers from several countries in the region to finance and implement the development path.

    The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that, "Today, Al-Sudani received the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Iraq, Cui Wei, in the presence of the Minister of Transport, and the meeting witnessed a review of the overall relations and aspects of cooperation between the two countries, and ways to develop them in various fields." levels and domains.

    The Prime Minister affirmed, according to the statement, Iraq's openness to all partnerships with friendly countries, and its keenness to establish sustainable development that supports security and stability efforts.

    Al-Sudani pointed out that "Iraq's promising strategic project, represented by the development road, enjoys the interest of the state with all its authorities," stressing that work is currently being carried out in parallel on the projects of the development road, Al-Faw port and the industrial city, as well as a new residential city near the port, pointing out that Iraq has received offers from several countries in the field. 

    For his part, Ambassador Cui Wei conveyed the greetings of the Chinese leadership to the Iraqi Prime Minister, and its keenness to sustain the best relations with Iraq, in various fields of cooperation and partnership.

    The ambassador affirmed that the development project is very important to Iraq, and it will be the path to peace and prosperity in the region, and will become a complement to the Belt and Road project, expressing his desire to review the economic feasibility study of the project, and China's readiness to provide technical advice for the completion of this vital project.
