The Jordanian King Abdullah II affirmed, today, Friday, support for the Iraqi government's steps to restore Iraq's role in the region.
Abdullah said during his speech at the Arab summit in Jeddah, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We support the Iraqi government's steps to restore Iraq's role in the region."
He added, "The system of joint Arab action needs permanent development to meet international challenges that require strengthening cooperation between Arab countries."
He added, "A just and comprehensive peace will not be achieved without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and today we welcome Syria's return to the Arab League as an important step to resolve crises."
