The Ministry of Health signed today, Tuesday, an agreement with the United Nations to provide health and psychological support to victims of ISIS terrorist gangs.
The Ministry's media office stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "under the direction of the Minister of Health, Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, the Ministry of Health signed an agreement with the United Nations investigation team to enhance accountability for crimes committed by ISIS terrorist gangs, and a cooperation program to provide health and psychological support for the victims of ISIS terrorists”.
The statement added, "The administrative secretary, Khamis Al-Saad, signed the agreement with the UNITAD team affiliated with the United Nations on behalf of the Minister of Health."
Al-Saad indicated, according to the statement, that "the agreement pertains to cooperation and the provision of health and psychological services to the victims of the terrorist ISIS by following them up and providing them with support," explaining that "based on the minister's directive, a joint working group was formed from the United Nations and the Ministry of Health to have cooperation in this stage to diagnose and treat cases in the institutions of the Ministry of Health.
