The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, arrived today, Saturday, in the Islamic Republic of Iran on an official visit, accompanied by the First Lady Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed.
The Presidency of the Republic said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The President of the Republic, Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, arrived today, Saturday, in the Islamic Republic of Iran, on an official visit, accompanied by First Lady Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed."
“The president headed a high-level delegation that included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein, Minister of Electricity Ziyad Ali Fadel, Minister of Water Resources Abd Aoun Diab, and National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji, in addition to a number of advisors and senior officials," the statement added.
The statement continued, “The visit comes in response to an official invitation from Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, as it is hoped that it will witness meetings with senior Iranian officials."
