The Iraqi National Security Service INSS announced on Wednesday arresting 10 terrorism suspects in four governorates.
A statement by INSS received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated, "Based on accurate intelligence information, the National Security Service carried out a series of qualitative operations in the governorates of (Nineveh, Salah al-Din, Anbar, and Baghdad)."
It explained, "In Nineveh, and after the availability of information confirming the presence of (3) people from the required targets on the right side of the province, an elaborate ambush was set up and they were arrested , in addition to one of the leaders was reached on the left side, who participated in launching terrorist attacks against the security forces."
It also added, "The detachments were able in the governorates of Anbar, Salah al-Din and Baghdad, and after intensifying the intelligence effort, to arrest 6 suspects accused of terrorism against whom judicial arrest warrants were issued."
The statement continued, "The statements of all the accused were recorded and referred to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary measures against them in accordance with the law."
