The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced today, Tuesday, that the Nineveh governorate is free of camps for the displaced, after the closure of Al-Jadaa camp 5.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that it "announces the complete closure of (Al-Jada'a 5) camp in Nineveh Governorate, after all the displaced have returned to their original areas of residence on a voluntary, which comes within the government program to end the displacement file in the country."
The ministry added, "The process of closing the camp was carried out in high coordination with the security and government agencies, and with this closure, Nineveh governorate became free of displacement camps, with the exception of (Al-Jadaa 1) center, which is a station for the psychological rehabilitation of the displaced."
