The technical advisor to the Prime Minister, Muhammad Abd al-Sahib al-Darraji, confirmed Saturday that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shayaa al-Sudani, is supportive of the Military Industrialization Authority, while he recommended the necessity of transferring military technology to Iraq.

Al-Daraji told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "cooperation between the Military Industrialization Authority and other ministries does not meet ambition, with the exception of the Ministry of Interior, which has begun serious steps in the field of joint cooperation."

He added, "The ministries of the state, by virtue of the law and the national interest see that it is necessary to open lines to purchase military industrial products," noting that "the authority is working hard to produce products that support and supply security institutions."

Al-Darraji stressed "the need to find joint cooperation between the authority and international consulting companies to build an infrastructure for the military industry in the country, with the aim of localizing military industries, preserving foreign currency, moving the national economy, and achieving sovereignty in the field of armament," calling for the need to find a formula for cooperation with manufacturers technology and to transfer it to Iraq.

Al-Darraji affirmed that "the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, supports the Military Industrialization Authority."
