A plan for Military re-industrialization in Iraq

    INA - BAGHDAD 

    Military Industrialization Authority announced the preparations of a plan for a military re-industrialization in Iraq, while noting that it discussed with international companies the possibility of building a local military industry.

    “The importance of these exhibitions lies in the technological exchange with international companies. The authority, in turn, is transferring technology from the world to Iraq and the start of military industrialization inside Iraq,” said the head of the authority, Muhammad Sahib Al-Daraji, to Iraqi News Agency (INA), Speaking about the activities of the anti-terrorism exhibition that opened on Saturday, in Baghdad.


    Al-Daraji added, “We offered the international companies the possibility of participating with them or partnering with each other to build a local military industry,”

    “The commission has prepared a plan for the re-industrialization of the military in Iraq, but it cannot be circulated in the media, and everyone should seek good advice,” revealed Al-Daraji.

    The first session of the exhibition on combating terrorism, special operations and cyber security (ATSO Iraq) kicked off on Saturday’s morning, in Baghdad.

    "Baghdad embraces the different, so that Iraq will be a meeting point, not conflicts," noting that "the exhibition in which more than 15 specialized companies are concerned with all aspects of health, security, economics, construction and preparation, participated and it included all aspects of life, including the security aspect,” said the representative of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, National Security Adviser Qassim Al-Araji, during his speech at the opening of the anti-terrorism exhibition, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    Al-Araji added, "The security services that make sacrifices deserve to be supported, and that there are agreements with a number of countries to train Iraqi forces, including NATO,”
