Drilling the first well in the field east of southern Baghdad completed

    The Iraqi Drilling Company announced Thursday the completion of drilling the first well in the East Baghdad South field.

     A statement of the company, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the technical and engineering personnel of the Iraqi Drilling Company have completed the drilling of the EBS-H-18 oil well, with a depth of 3509 meters, and it is the first well that the company has accomplished within the project of drilling 27 oil wells in the field east of southern Baghdad for the benefit of the Chinese company EBS, in cooperation with COSL, to provide oil services.”

     It added, "The drilling operations were carried out using the IDC 36 drilling rig with a horsepower of 1,500, using a horizontal drilling method at an angle of inclination of 89 degrees, and as a result of the distinguished work in completing the drilling of the well, as the Chinese company EBS, which operates the field, presented a certificate of appreciation to the technical and engineering staff in the company in appreciation of their efforts."  

     it also continued, "The company is the active national arm in drilling and reclamation of oil wells and it has technical and engineering cadres with proven competence and accumulated experience in drilling and reclamation of oil wells and the completion of projects in accordance with the specified timetables and adherence to the highest standards of quality systems, occupational health and safety and the environment and according to the requirements of standard specifications because the company applies a system  Integrated Management IMS, and has obtained certificates of conformity according to those systems.
