Iraqi Drilling Company (IDC) announced on Sunday, the completion of drilling and reclamation operations for 92 oil wells, during the current year.
"IDC staff completed today, Sunday the drilling of two oil wells in Majnoon and Zubair fields, bringing the total number that IDC has accomplished in terms of drilling and reclamation operations to 92 oil wells this year in central, southern and northern Iraq," said IDC’s director general, Basem Abdul Karim Nasser, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Nasser added, "The drilling and reclamation operations were carried out for the benefit of the national and international companies in the Iraqi oil fields."
He continued, "The operations of drilling the MJ-136 well in Majnoon oil field come within the project to drill 43 oil wells for Basra Oil Company and in cooperation with Halliburton Company to provide oil services, and that the completion of drilling the ZB-536 oil well in Zubair oil field for the benefit of ENI International Company came in a record time of 22 days.”
Nasser noted that "IDC’s staff has accumulative technical and engineering expertise, and adopts modern methods and techniques in drilling and reclamation operations, as well as a commitment to quality performance, health, safety and environment standards and the completion of projects within the specified deadlines and in record times."
