Barzani: Our policy supports Al-Sudani's government

The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, confirmed today, Thursday, that the region's policy supports the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, while noting that Baghdad is the strategic depth of Kurdistan. 

Barzani said during the second Erbil dialogue conference, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Our policy in Kurdistan is to support the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani," noting that "the prime minister has a desire to solve problems," calling on political parties to support Al-Sudani's implementation of its ministerial programme.

He added, "Baghdad is our strategic depth and solving problems with it will pave the way for political, security and economic stability throughout Iraq,".

pointing out that "there is a positive atmosphere that prevails in the relationship between the two parties at all levels, and we will not miss any opportunity to end it, and our bilateral relationship is complementary.".

He continued, "There is high coordination between the two parties, which resulted in striking ISIS terrorist gangs and addressing their threat," noting, at the same time, "there are efforts to approve the general budget in the Council of Ministers soon.".

Speaking about the global energy crisis, Barzani said, "Iraq has energy sources that could solve the problems of lack of supplies in some countries of the world."
